Brachial plexus

 


There are 5 main branches in brachial plexus, namely musculocutaneous nerve, median nerve, radial nerve, ulnar nerve and axillary nerve.

Tricks to remember branches of lateral cord.

A. Lateral cord
Trick:- LML
1. L - Lateral pectoral nerve.
2. M - Musculocutaneous nerve.
3. L - Lateral root of median nerve.

B. Medial cord
Trick:- M4U
1. M - Medial cutaneous nerve of arm
2. M - Medial cutaneous nerve of forearm
3. M - Medial pectoral nerve
4. M - Medial root of median nerve
5. U - Ulnar nerve

C. Posterior cord
Trick:- ULNAR
1. U - Upper subscapularis
2. L - Lower subscapularis
3. N - Nerve to lattisimus dorsi
4. A - Axillary nerve
5. R - Radial nerve
